School Communications
HERO (by LincED) is used by our school as our student management system (SMS).
All families will need to set up a login so you can access the benefits of this SMS.
HERO (by LincED) is a secure online student management system that allows Ōpoutere School to record enrolment /student information, communicate with caregivers and share/track learning.
As you are a first time user, follow the instructions below to get connected:

Push Notifications
Push notifications on the Hero app provide real-time alerts for school or workplace updates. By default, active app users receive push notifications, while those logged out receive emails. You can customize or switch these alerts to email directly within your app account settings.
How to Manage Your Notification Settings
Open the Hero app and log in.
Click on your profile image or the menu icon (top right corner).
Select Settings (or Edit Profile).
Scroll down to My Devices or Notification Preferences.
Choose your preferred alert type:
Default: Receives in-app push notifications on all logged-in mobile devices.
Email: Sends all notifications directly to your registered email address.
None: Turns off all notifications.
Accessing Push Notifications in the App
The Bell Icon: Located in the top right-hand corner, this icon displays a red number indicating unread posts. Clicking it shows your ten most recent notifications.
Reading Messages: Simply click a push notification or the title of a post in the notification list to view the full message.
